Consult & Connect - our team
Understanding our customers’ pain points and use cases is the starting point and target of our work. We consult them on the potential offered by IoT technologies and create connectivity architectures that fit their needs. As an IoT Exploration Team, we develop digital services (Industry 4.0) that make it easy for our customers in manufacturing to benefit immediately. That´s what we call the Consult & Connect approach.

What is your role for the customer?
As an IoT solution architect, I help our customers identify their specific use case, develop a suitable solution architecture, and implement that solution. I help them discover the potential of IoT technology. That’s an exciting experience for both sides: customers get to solve their problems; we gain experience and new ideas about how to grow our business.
Who are you?
I’m a mechatronics person through and through! ☺ The most exciting place to look for innovation is at the interface between technology and domains.
How old are you?
32

What is your role for the customer?
My job is to ensure that we are able to grasp our customers’ complex problems and then solve them on a step-by-step basis.
We are successful when we make our customers successful. That’s why my top priority is to ensure that we fully understand their problems and their needs, rather than adapting their problems to our solutions.
I help our customers develop IoT solutions with a high level of innovation both in terms of new specifications and potentially applicable technologies. When developing solutions to complex problems, it is vital to be able to respond to new insights gained. That’s why we proceed in incremental stages, generate added value as swiftly as possible, and incorporate new findings directly into current projects.
Who are you?
I’m an IT graduate, married, with a house and a dog. No car but we do have a couple of bicycles. A runner and triathlete.
How old are you?
I’m 39 years young.
What expertise do you contribute to the exploration of IoT services?
My career spans time as a developer, product owner, and scrum master in the development of simulation software. I’m also a coach and consultant for the implementation of agile methods and ALM tools.

What is your role for the customer?
I firmly believe that IoT solutions can only be developed on the basis of an in-depth understanding of the customer’s problems and needs. And in order to formulate these requirements, we need to proceed iteratively with the end user and on the basis of specific use cases. Cross-functional expertise (sales, development, commissioning, etc.) within an autonomous team is absolutely essential to ensure efficient, optimal implementation of these solutions.
Who are you?
I’ve been an avid computer gamer for over 25 years now, and I started programming at the age of 12. After studying IT, I became a software developer. It’s a job I do with a passion – and with extremely high demands on the quality of my work and working methods.
How old are you?
I’m 36.
What expertise do you contribute to the exploration of IoT services?
I have over ten years of professional experience as a programmer and software architect in the field of computer graphics and simulation. I am a confirmed agilist and agile coach.

What is your role for the customer?
My customers value my absolute commitment to achieving our shared goal. I see myself as an all-round troubleshooter for their problems, whatever those problems might be. Solving these issues and achieving a common goal is not work to me, but rather a matter close to my heart.
Who are you?
I’m a geek, through and through. I like nothing better than to investigate new technology and generate new ideas, 24 hours a day. I’ve been fascinated by IT ever since I got my first computer at the age of 11. Since then, I’ve always kept an eye out for anything that’s new. I then try out a lot of it at home, first of all. I use this enthusiasm to carry our team and my customers to the cutting edge of IoT technology.
How old are you?
I’m 25.
What expertise do you contribute to the exploration of IoT services?
I came through a vocational study and training program in mechatronics, specializing in Industry 4.0, at Bosch Rexroth. Since then, I’ve been working at the interface between mechanical engineering, electronics, and IT, in order to help companies exploit the benefits of Industrial IoT. I’ve had the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of domains at Bosch, working in both development and customer applications, at home and abroad. Before joining the Consult & Connect team, I was an engineer for Industry 4.0 in the field of drive and control technology at Bosch Rexroth Sales, Germany. This combination of being close to the customer and being responsible for the actual product is what defines my role and continues to inspire me.

Rolf Najork, CEO Bosch Rexroth explains why the Consult & Connect team plays an essential role for IoT innovation in manufacturing:
